Directions to ASTRONOMY Program

We will first gather at the Planetarium.

Amherst College's Basset Planetarium is located in 201 Morgan Hall on the West Side of Rt. 116, just South of the intersection with Rt. 9 and across from the college's main entrance.  The street address is 165 S. Pleasant St. The Planetarium is on the 2nd Floor, on the right at the top of the grand staircase.  Restrooms are located on the 1st Floor.  Cars should park on the Amherst town common.

The Observatory is located 3/10ths of a mile South of the Rt. 9 and 116 intersection in the center of Amherst, on Rt. 116.  Turn right onto Snell Street.  Go about 400 yards.  On the left there will be a gate with AC Observatory written on it.  To through the gate and park.
