Sky's the limit! It wasn’t long ago that parents of children born with disabilities were given a dismal litany of things their child wouldn’t be able to do: walk, talk, live independently. Sadly, it’s still going on today. 
But at Whole Children, you won’t hear words like “can’t,” “impossible” or “not gonna happen.”
What you will hear is “you can do it,” “well done!” or our favorite: “What else is possible?”
We’ve been asking ourselves that a lot lately. This year we have seen enormous growth and change -- in our kids and in our programs.
We’ve added innovative classes, such as self-advocacy, that are helping our kids get a better understanding of themselves and the kind of future they want to have. We’ve started a Pokemon club and Lego class where kids are bonding over their common interest. Our Joyful Chorus is teaming up kids with and without special needs to perform holiday songs in concert. The list goes on and on!
We’re also physically growing – our space at 41 Russell Street has more than doubled in size as we carve out space for new programs for older teens and young adults. The program is called Milestones, and it is run by the same teachers and staff who created Whole Children, so you can expect the same high quality, innovative classes!
We have been able to continue to push – ourselves and the kids – because of your generous support. We think we’re just hitting our stride and we have big plans for the coming years.
So once again, we are coming to you to ask for your help. The generous contributions of our friends, family, and other community members have allowed us to run these innovative programs that are raising the bar for our children. Every gift we get helps us hire a teacher, offer a scholarship, buy new equipment, or help include a child who requires 1:1 assistance to succeed.
