Session 1 - Under the Big Top - Ages 8+

June 30-July 11, 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Instructors: Annemarie Flaherty, Lucy Spaulding

This session will focus on movement skills, coordination, balance, and sensory integration while building confidence and social skills through gymnastics, recess games, crafts, outdoor play and projects.  This session will cost $310 because of the July 4th holiday.

Cost: $310

 

Gardening (Ages 8+)

Session 2:  July 14-July 18, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Session 5:  August 4-August 8, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

(PLEASE NOTE: This session is held over 2 non-consecutive weeks.  You may register for one or both weeks of the program.)

Instructors: Jimmy Ilson

Children will learn many aspects of gardening.  We will be harvesting garlic that was planted last fall and tending to our crops.  We will use a variety of tools and techniques for gardening.  Mornings will include group games, stories, a gardening project, snack and a craft activity.  A trip to the Food Bank Farm will also be in store for the children.

Cost: $175 per week, $350 for the full session

 

Session 3:  Photography - Ages 8+

July 14-18, 1-4 p.m.

Instructor: Jo Sittenfeld

While the class curriculum will be built around learning all aspects of digital photography, including lighting, shooting, composition, printing, and photo-shopping, the particular assignments will all incorporate goals targeting social skills and communication.

Cost: $175

 

Sports & Recreation - Ages 8+

Session 4:  July 21-August 1, 1-4 p.m.
Session 6  August 11-August 22, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Instructor: Melissa Forostoski
 

Children will learn and practice the social and gross motor skills used in recreational activities.  Through team-building exercises and group and individual instruction, children will acquire the skills they need to play sports and participate in recess games.

Cost: $350 per session

 

 

Music, Recess Games and Social Skills - Ages 4-7

(Session 1A)  July 14-July 25, 9-11:30
   (Session 2A)  July 28-August 8, 9-11:30
          (Session 3A)  August 11-August 22, 9-11:30

Instructor: Tara Emery (all sessions)

Children will participate in group and individual activities that will include music, art, social skills building combined with Montessori educational methods.  Sessions will include group games, story time, art projects, recreation and cooperative and social games.
