July, 2011:
Whole Children was selected to receive proceeds from the River Valley Market's green stamp program in July. The Northampton market (also known as the Food Co-op) will also set up donation collection jars at the registers for shoppers who want to donate to Whole Children. Thank you River Valley! Come see us on July 23 from 10-2 at the store where we'll be passing out literature!
Construction has begun on our expanded space! Once work is complete (hopefully early September) we will have a new, larger teen space, a cafe (which will serve as the hub of all adult classes and activities), training room to host workshops, etc, new preschool movement space, and an enclosed gym (currently all of our staff offices are accessed through the gym, which has made it difficult for staff and kids).

June, 2011:
The Valley Advocate cover story on June 16 featured the benefit concert (see below). The weekly reviewed the show online the day after.
Almost 1,000
tickets were sold for the Dinosaur Jr/Warblers/Thurston Moore/Henry
Rollins benefit concert to support Whole Children. The packed house at
the Calvin Theater in Northampton on 6/21 was treated to a more-than-4-hour show. Artist Jay Ryan also donated 100 limited edition
posters to commemorate the event and the Warblers donated t-shirts and
CDs. Thank you to the generous musicians and the audience members who supported us!
The Northampton Arts Council awarded us a grant to support the Joyful Chorus, an inclusive chorus that will start
rehearsing in the fall. The Chorus will perform with the Florence
Community Band in December and take the show on the road. Thank you Arts
Council!!! Stay tuned for more details and how to sign up!
